The Kemper County Wildcats football squad scored 44 points and restricted the host Choctaw Central Warriors to 8 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton for a 3A Region 5 battle on Friday, October 14. Kemper County will play a Tigers squad coming off a 25-24 league loss to Heidelberg (Heidelberg, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-7.

Coming up next, the Warriors play the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers (Meridian, MS) in a 3A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, October 14. Choctaw Central will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. WARRIORS UNABLE TO MOVE BALL GAVE IT BACK TO KEMPER ON THE WILDCATS 38.ON FIRST PLAY, COLE FOUND JOSH MCCLELLAND ON NOW ROUTE AND MCLELLAND USE ONE BLOCK BY NICK GILES TO FIND SIDE LINE THEN WENT 62 YARDS UNTOUCHED AT 1:58. CONVERSION FAILED AND KEMPER UP 30-8. THE WARRIORS PICKED UP TWO QUICK FIRST DOWNS BEFORE ANTHONY RUFFINS STEPPED IN FRONT OF WOULD BE RECIEVER AT THE WILDCAT 25 AND RETURNED THE PICK FOR SIX. WITH FAILED CONVERSION KEMPER LED 36-8 WITH 14 SECONDS LEFT IN THIRD QTR.

Fourth Quarter

AT 10:55 POLLARD SPLIT HIS DOUBLE TEAM ON POST ROUTE AND CAUGHT THE 35 PASS FROM COLE FOR THE LAST KEMPER TD OF NIGHT. MCCLELLAND RAN IN THE CONVERSION FOR FINAL SCORE ;44-8.
