The Huntsville Panthers (Huntsville, AL) football overcame the visiting Decatur Red Raiders (Decatur, AL), 24-10 in Thursday's league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL) in a 6A Region 8 bout, on Friday, September 9. Huntsville will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 52-7 league loss to Bob Jones (Madison, AL).
