The Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) baseball nipped the host Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA), 10-9 in Friday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Hawks play the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a AAA Southeastern contest, on Tuesday, May 10. Hickory will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 13-4 record after their 12-11 league win over Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA).
