The Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) basketball edged the host Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA), 61-56 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 12-3 record. They play next when they host St. Paul's for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Central will play a Wolves team coming off a 81-26 non-league win over Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 11-6.
With the loss, Southside falls to 14-11 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Kaplan (Kaplan, LA) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-23.
