In Monday's non-league outing, the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) basketball squad beat the visiting Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA), by a margin of 53-41.
The Go-Hawks (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against New Hampton (New Hampton, IA). The Chickasaws go into the Northeast Iowa outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, New Hampton was topped by Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA), 51-50, in a non-league outing.
The Bobcats now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to South Tama County for a WAMAC - West bout on Tuesday, January 11. Benton will play a Trojans squad coming off a 69-31 league loss to Clear Creek-Amana (Tiffin, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-9.
