Magnificat Blue Streaks (Rocky River, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hathaway Brown Blazers (Shaker Heights, OH), 43-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Magnificat upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Blue Streaks host St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 12. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a record of 8-2.
Next up, the Blazers play the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers (Hudson, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 12. Hathaway Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 35-31 non-league win over Manchester (Akron, OH).
