In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) basketball squad beat the host Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA), by a margin of 63-45.

The Pirates (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Vikings go into the Tri-Rivers outing with a 1-11 record. In their last bout, Edgewood-Colesburg was knocked off by Marquette (Bellevue, IA), 78-50, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Lions play the Prince of Peace Prep Irish (Clinton, IA) in a Big East bout, on Friday, January 13. Lisbon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Irish come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 62-29 non-league win over Starmont (Arlington, IA).
