Candlelight Christian Academy Flames (Lake Wales, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Genesis Prep Panthers (New Port Richey, FL), 62-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Candlelight Christian Academy upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Flames host Florida College Academy (Temple Terrace, FL) to play the Falcons in a Central Florida bout on Thursday, January 19. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Panthers play the American Collegiate Academy Rough Riders (Clearwater, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Genesis Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
