In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) basketball squad beat the host Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL), by a count of 69-51.
The Lions (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Indians go into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi outing with a 6-9 record. In their last outing, DuQuoin was topped by Herrin (Herrin, IL), 76-48, in a non-league outing.
