Mediapolis Bulldogs (Mediapolis, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA), 71-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mediapolis upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Danville (Danville, IA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Danville won 48-39 in their recent league bout against Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA)

Next up, the Hawks play the New London Tigers (New London, IA) in a SEI - South bout, on Friday, January 13. Central Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 72-54 non-league win over Van Buren County (Keosauqua, IA).
