Coastal Academy Stingrays (Oceanside, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mountain Empire Redhawks (Pine Valley, CA), 61-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coastal Academy upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Stingrays host Rock Academy (San Diego, CA) to play the Warriors in a Ocean bout on Friday, January 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Rock Academy won 71-28 in their recent league bout against Escondido Adventist Academy (Escondido, CA)

Next up, the Redhawks play the The Cambridge School Griffins (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Mountain Empire will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 36-33 league loss to Liberty Charter (Lemon Grove, CA).
