The Valley Regional Warriors basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils to 61 in the Warriors league victory on Tuesday.

The Warriors now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wethersfield for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Valley Regional will battle a Eagles team coming off a 56-46 non-league loss to Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.

The Blue Devils (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Morgan (Clinton, CT). The Huskies come into the Shoreline contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Morgan prevailed over Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT), 74-54, in a league contest.
