Crocker Lions (Crocker, MO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Newburg Wolves (Newburg, MO), 49-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crocker upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Laquey (Laquey, MO) to play the Hornets in a Frisco bout on Friday, January 13. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Laquey lost 73-65 in their recent non-league bout against Bourbon (Bourbon, MO)

Next up, the Wolves play the Viburnum Blue Jays (Viburnum, MO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Newburg will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
