The Fuqua Falcons basketball team (Farmville, VA), was nudged 51-44 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA)
The Dukes now possess a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buckingham for a James River battle on Friday, January 13. Cumberland will battle a Knights team coming off a 50-48 non-league win over Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA). The Knights record now stands at 8-4.
The Falcons (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Nottoway edged Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA), 66-33, in a league battle.
