In Tuesday's league outing, the Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA) basketball squad edged the visiting Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), by a count of 47-41.

The Maroons (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against Seymour (Seymour, IA). The Warriors go into the Bluegrass outing with a 3-5 record. In their last outing, Seymour held off Lamoni (Lamoni, IA), 44-34, in a league outing.

The Sabers now hold a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Warren for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 12. Twin Cedars will clash with a Warhawks squad coming off a 81-43 league win over East Union (Afton, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 6-4.
