Gloria Deo Academy Lions (Bulverde, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host First Baptist Academy Eagles (Universal City, TX), 67-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gloria Deo Academy upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Town East Christian (San Antonio, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Town East Christian won 58-47 in their recent league bout against Lifegate Christian (Seguin, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Faith Academy Cougars (Victoria, TX) in a TAPPS 1A District 5 bout, on Friday, January 13. First Baptist Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 43-27 league loss to River City Believers Academy (San Antonio, TX).
