The Wheeler Mustangs (Wheeler, TX) basketball crushed the host Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), 65-41 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Wellington (Wellington, TX). The Skyrockets go into the 2A Region I District 2 test with a 6-1 record.

The Hornets now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Farwell for a 2A Region I District 3 test on Friday, January 13. Highland Park will encounter a Steers squad coming off a 69-44 non-league win over Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Steers record now stands at 15-4.
