The Joaquin Rams (Joaquin, TX) basketball nipped the visiting White Oak Roughnecks (White Oak, TX), 42-36 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Rams (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Gary (Gary, TX). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region III District 23 test with a 12-11 record. In their last test, Gary was tipped by Beckville (Beckville, TX), 47-27, in a league test.
The Roughnecks now own a 12-10 record. They play next when they travel to Sabine for a 3A Region II District 15 test on Friday, January 13. White Oak will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 67-31 non-league win over Maud (Maud, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-15.
