The John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 49-41 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Centurions (9-17) will now prepare for their test against Holy Cross (San Antonio, TX). The Knights go into the TAPPS 4A District 3 test with a 15-10 record. In their last test, Holy Cross went down by Veritas Academy (Austin, TX), 42-41, in a league test.
