Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lansingburgh Knights (Troy, NY), 58-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Voorheesville upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Blackbirds travel to Cohoes (Cohoes, NY) to clash with the Tigers in a Section 2 Colonial - Patriot bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Cohoes won 70-65 in their recent non-league bout against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons (Schenectady, NY)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs (Cobleskill, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial - Patriot bout, on Friday, January 13. Lansingburgh will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 57-54 non-league loss to Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY).
