New Jersey High School Basketball - Vernon thwarts Lenape Valley

The Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ) basketball knocked off the host Lenape Valley Patriots (Stanhope, NJ), 60-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Vikings (6-2) will now prepare for their test against North Warren Regional (Blairstown, NJ). The Patriots go into the Northwest Jersey - Colonial test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, North Warren Regional notched a victory over Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ), 53-36, in a league test.
The Patriots now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hackettstown for a Northwest Jersey - Freedom test on Thursday, January 12. Lenape Valley will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 72-58 non-league loss to Nottingham (Hamilton, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.
