Kentucky High School Basketball - Rowan County tops Lewis County

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) and the host Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY), saw Rowan County's basketball squad knock off Lewis County by a tally of 48-36.

With the victory, Rowan County improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY) to play the Panthers in a District 61 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Fleming County lost 73-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Mason County (Maysville, KY)

Next up, the Lions play the Augusta Panthers (Augusta, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 13. Lewis County will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
