Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME), 64-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln Academy upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mount View (Thorndike, ME) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Panthers play the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Waterville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Black Bears come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 86-70 non-league loss to Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME).
