Shelbyville Rams (Shelbyville, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL), 71-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shelbyville upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Rams host Clinton (Clinton, IL) to clash with the Maroons in a Central Illinois bout on Friday, January 13. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Clinton lost 62-58 in their recent non-league bout against Monticello (Monticello, IL)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Casey-Westfield Warriors (Casey, IL) in a Little Illini bout, on Friday, January 13. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 60-25 league win over Paris (Paris, IL).
