The St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND) basketball felled the visiting Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks (Renville, ND), 73-59 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Woodchucks (5-1) will now prepare for their test against North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] (Rolette, ND). The Comets go into the B Region 4 test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] was beaten by North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] (Walhalla, ND), 82-51, in a non-league test.
The Mavericks now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Our Redeemer's Christian for a B Region 6 District 12 test on Friday, January 13. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 60-37 non-league win over Stanley (Stanley, ND). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.
