The Newton South Lions basketball team (Newton, MA), was overwhelmed 73-50 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Waltham Hawks (Waltham, MA)
The Hawks now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln-Sudbury for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. Waltham will confront a Warriors team coming off a 51-34 non-league win over Wayland (Wayland, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-7.
The Lions (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Southeastern RVT (South Easton, MA). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Southeastern RVT was overwhelmed by Scituate (Scituate, MA), 100-58, in a non-league battle.
