In Tuesday's league outing, the Northwest Yeshiva Lions (Mercer Island, WA) basketball squad nipped the host Pope John Paul II Eagles (Lacey, WA), by a margin of 59-56.

The Lions (2-6) will now prepare for their outing against Muckleshoot Tribal (Auburn, WA). The Kings go into the 1B/2B Sea-Tac outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Muckleshoot Tribal got by Quilcene (Quilcene, WA), 91-26, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evergreen Lutheran for a 1B/2B Sea-Tac contest on Friday, January 13. Pope John Paul II will battle a Eagles team coming off a 47-43 non-league loss to Northwest Christian (Lacey, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-5.
