Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Northwood Timberwolves (Irvine, CA), 66-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Portola upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Laguna Hills (Laguna Hills, CA) to play the Hawks in a Pacific Coast bout on Friday, January 13. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 11-10. Laguna Hills won 64-58 in their recent league bout against University (Irvine, CA)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA) in a Pacific Coast bout, on Thursday, January 12. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Lightning go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 58-54 league win over Beckman (Irvine, CA).
