Maine High School Basketball - Thornton Academy can't hold off Portland

The Thornton Academy Trojans basketball team (Saco, ME), was nudged 57-51 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the visiting Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME)
The Bulldogs now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oxford Hills for a AA North contest on Friday, January 13. Portland will meet a Vikings team coming off a 59-35 league win over Edward Little (Auburn, ME). The Vikings record now stands at 9-1.
The Trojans (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Noble (Berwick, ME). The Knights enter the AA South contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Noble nudged Scarborough (Scarborough, ME), 78-59, in a league contest.
