In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles (Rocky Mount, NC) basketball squad nipped the host Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), by a margin of 67-60.
The Eagles (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Saints go into the non-league outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, John Paul II Catholic got by Father Capodanno (Vass, NC), 84-25, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wayne Country Day for a NCISAA Coastal Plain outing on Thursday, January 12. Wayne Christian will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 86-77 league loss to Greenfield (Wilson, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 18-4.
