The Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints (New Philadelphia, OH) basketball felled the visiting Waynedale Golden Bears (Apple Creek, OH), 54-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Saints (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Newcomerstown (Newcomerstown, OH). The Trojans go into the Inter-Valley test with a 0-14 record. In their last test, Newcomerstown was beaten by Claymont (Uhrichsville, OH), 65-26, in a league test.
The Golden Bears now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Hillsdale for a Wayne County test on Friday, January 13. Waynedale will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 81-52 league loss to Norwayne (Creston, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 2-6.
