In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) basketball squad edged the host Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), by a count of 61-56.
The Bengals (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Chargers go into the non-league outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Albuquerque Academy held off Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM), 59-22, in a non-league outing.
The Pirates now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Valencia for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17.
