South Dakota High School Basketball - Alcester-Hudson overwhelmed by Viborg/Hurley

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs basketball team (Alcester, SD), was overwhelmed 45-20 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD)

The Cougars now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gayville-Volin for a B Region 4 battle on Thursday, January 12. Viborg/Hurley will battle a Raiders team coming off a 54-34 league loss to Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD). The Raiders record now stands at 1-5.

The Cubs (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA). The Westerners come into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Akron-Westfield was overwhelmed by West Sioux (Hawarden, IA), 56-54, in a league battle.
