Aquinas Monarchs (David City, NE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Twin River Titans (Genoa, NE), 58-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Aquinas upgrades its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 6-5. Grand Island Central Catholic lost 49-44 in their recent non-league bout against York (York, NE)

Next up, the Titans play the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Twin River will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 59-36 non-league win over Heartland (Henderson, NE).
