The Barrington Eagles basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Westerly Bulldogs to 42 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scituate for a State Championship contest on Thursday, January 12. Barrington will battle a Spartans team coming off a 60-37 league loss to St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI). The Spartans record now stands at 1-6.
The Bulldogs (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Chieftains come into the State Championship contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Ponaganset prevailed over South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI), 58-47, in a league contest.
