The LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), 40-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Panthers (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Athens (Athens, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Athens notched a victory over Illini Central/Greenview (Mason City, IL), 50-37, in a league test.

The Maroons now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Tuscola for a Central Illinois test on Thursday, January 12. Clinton will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 49-28 non-league win over Cerro Gordo/Bement (Cerro Gordo, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 17-0.
