Connecticut High School Basketball - Portland overwhelmed by Cromwell

The Portland Highlanders basketball team (Portland, CT), was overwhelmed 72-22 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cromwell Panthers (Cromwell, CT)

The Panthers now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Regional for a Shoreline battle on Thursday, January 12. Cromwell will confront a Warriors team coming off a 60-35 league win over Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 6-2.

The Highlanders (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT). The Saints come into the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, St. Bernard trounced Putnam (Putnam, CT), 47-35, in a league battle.
