New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting David Thibodaux Bulldogs (Lafayette, LA), 53-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Iberia upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 18-6. Thibodaux won 68-18 in their recent non-league bout against GEO Next Generation (Baton Rouge, LA)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Elton Indians (Elton, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. David Thibodaux will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 13-10 record after their 48-30 non-league loss to Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
