In Tuesday's league outing, the Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA) basketball squad nipped the host Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA), by a margin of 39-37.
The Sabers (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA). The Warhawks enter the non-league match with a 2-9 record. In their last match, Southeast Warren was nipped by East Union (Afton, IA), 47-40, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Diagonal moves to 4-6 on the year. The Maroons host Seymour (Seymour, IA) to meet the Warriors in a Bluegrass match on Friday, January 13. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 4-6.
