Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) and the host Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] (Eustis, NE), saw Southwest's basketball squad wallop Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] by a tally of 68-35.

With the victory, Southwest improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Bertrand (Bertrand, NE) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Bertrand lost 47-34 in their recent non-league challenge against South Loup (Arnold, NE)

Next up, the play the Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 54-45 non-league loss to Amherst (Amherst, NE).
