The Highland Hawks basketball squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions to 42 in the Hawks non-league victory on Tuesday.

With the victory, Highland upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ) to play the Bulldogs in a 6A Central challenge on Friday, January 13. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 6-10. Queen Creek lost 39-17 in their recent league challenge against Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ)

Next up, the Mountain Lions play the Dobson Mustangs (Mesa, AZ) in a 6A East Valley challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Red Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 36-35 league win over Mesa (Mesa, AZ).
