Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), 42-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Espanola Valley upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Sundevils host Shiprock (Shiprock, NM) to play the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Shiprock won 35-16 in their recent non-league bout against Zuni (Zuni, NM)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Capital will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
