The Loyd Star Hornets soccer team scored 5 points and limited the visiting Pisgah Dragons to 1 in the Hornets non-league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Hornets face the Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS) in a Class 1 Region 7 contest, on Thursday, January 12. Loyd Star will attempt to better on its 14-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Purvis (Purvis, MS).
The Dragons now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Forest for a Class 1 Region 4 contest on Friday, January 13.
