Florida High School Soccer - Archbishop McCarthy knocks off Westminster Academy

Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks (Fort Lauderdale, FL) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Westminster Academy Lions (Fort Lauderdale, FL), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mavericks confront the St. Brendan Sabres (Miami, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Archbishop McCarthy will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Sabres enter the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 1-1 non-league LaSalle (Miami, FL).

The Lions now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Florida Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. Westminster Academy will confront a Patriots team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Downtown Doral (Doral, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 3-5.
