Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) and the host Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA), saw Burrell's basketball squad overcome Keystone Oaks by a tally of 66-54.
With the victory, Burrell improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bucs host Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA) to play the Vikings in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-13. Apollo Ridge lost 71-26 in their recent league challenge against Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Brentwood Spartans (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Keystone Oaks will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 90-76 league loss to Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA).
