Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chapel Field Christian Lions (Pine Bush, NY), 51-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Marlboro Central upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Dukes travel to Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY) to play the Dutchmen in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Dutchmen come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Tappan Zee won 48-39 in their recent league bout against Nyack (Upper Nyack, NY)

Next up, the Lions play the Eldred Yellowjackets (Eldred, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County VI bout, on Friday, January 19. Chapel Field Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
