The Conestoga Pioneers (Berwyn, PA) basketball nipped the host Penncrest Lions (Media, PA), 35-33 in Wednesday's league test.
The Pioneers (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Springfield (Springfield, PA). The Cougars go into the Central test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Springfield got by Ridley (Folsom, PA), 59-39, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lower Merion for a Central test on Thursday, January 11. Penncrest will encounter a Aces squad coming off a 68-39 league win over Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA). The Aces record now stands at 13-1.
