Greenville Spartans (Greenville, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Maple Hill Wildcats (Castleton on Hudson, NY), 60-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greenville upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Watervliet (Watervliet, NY) to play the Cannoneers in a Section 2 Patroon bout on Friday, January 12. The Cannoneers come into the bout with a record of 11-1. Watervliet lost 66-54 in their recent league bout against Hudson (Hudson, NY)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Hudson Blue Hawks (Hudson, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon bout, on Friday, January 12. Maple Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Blue Hawks come into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 66-54 league win over Watervliet (Watervliet, NY).
