Hillcrest Hornets (Springfield, MO) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Plains Zizzers (West Plains, MO), 56-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Hornets host Central (Springfield, MO) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Ozarks bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Central won 68-46 in their recent non-league bout against Glendale (Springfield, MO)

Next up, the Zizzers clash with the Forsyth Panthers (Forsyth, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. West Plains will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 80-47 non-league win over Buffalo (Buffalo, MO).
