Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA), 73-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA) to play the Wildcats in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Friday, January 12. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Oak Harbor lost 56-45 in their recent league bout against Bellingham (Bellingham, WA)

Next up, the Mariners play the Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Saturday, January 13. Sehome will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 55-33 non-league win over Mount Vernon Christian (Mount Vernon, WA).
